It does NOT unfortunately correctly handle URLs that are intentionally split with a blank at the end of the split part and "delsp=yes" used to flag this to tell the MUA to remove the blank when it unwraps the URL. These UTLs end up with a blank (or %20 in the URL which renders it bad unless the blank/%20 is manually removed.
