Mark may have more current information than I have on this issue. Maybe z/OS 1.7 changed something again.
I still think this is important to fix on the z/OS side, because increasing numbers of clients will negotiate contention resolution by default. That's true for multiple IBM client products like Host On-Demand and PComm, other products like HATS, and (from what I've been reading) many non-IBM products.
