This is essentially the same discussion group. The major difference is that the newsgroup does is not gated to the list server. So any posts made to the newsgroup will not show up to the main list. And there are many subscribers on both lists who are not subscribed to the other. Causes confusion at times. Most of the most knowledgeable people are only subscribed to IBM-MAIN, which is this one.
