If you want to turn it off because it you have no use, it annoys you to see the "hlq.SPFLOGn.LIST has been deleted" message or whatever, that is fine. But don't do it because you think it will give you some sort of performance boost. If you want to know some things that will help (like turning off RECOVERY), we should take the discussion over to ISPF-L (or consult the ISPF customization which has recommendations).
