In a convoluted way, I've found out about a project for a customer who wants to convert mainframe Assembler apps to C#. I know nothing about C#, and I don't know yet what platform the Assembler code is for (inquiries are in process).
As an interim, if anyone would like to post any experience or knowledge of similar projects, it might prove to be enlightening. And, if anyone would like to pursue doing some of this work as a contractor, contact me directly, off-list.
