I don't know about Europe specifically, but I am getting increasing questions about that sort of thing, and I think some of it may be coming from government. I remember one customer recently asking about whether they could adopt a six months site 1/six months site 2/loop-repeat production strategy. It was similar thinking, that if they were always flipping back and forth every six months anyway that DR would be just another perfectly ordinary flip.
The basic answer to that question was yes, they could, although a somewhat long discussion followed to try to understand why they wanted to. And there are probably better and worse ways to do it, depending on the circumstances. - - - - - Timothy Sipples IBM Consulting Enterprise Software Architect Specializing in Software Architectures Related to System z Based in Tokyo, Serving IBM Japan and IBM Asia-Pacific E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
