Ok thank you.  I can now see the differences after I played with some
batch jobs and the REGION.  This just shows me how very, very, very
(very) little I know about memory on z/OS.

Also, if you have an IEFUSI exit, see the documentation for IEFUSI in
MVS Installation Exits    .
