Same problem here. VM Sysprogs needed to detach mirror targets from VM. VM apparently attaches all DASD unless told otherwise.

Initial volumes are in the shared pool with other z/OS volumes on a HTC something-or-other. Some of the z/OS volumes are mirrored, but not the VM volumes - yet anyway. We have a daily process that suspends and reestablishes the mirrors for DR purposes. The first morning the VM LPAR was left running, the mirrors would not reestablish for any of the 800+ mirrored volumes. Error was "ANTP0120I COMMAND CONFLICTS WITH ESTABLISHED PPRC DEVICE STATE." Previous messages indicate all of the volumes were in a suspended state. Eventually someone decided to reset the VM lpar, and about that time (but not exactly) the storage team was able to reestablish the 800+ pairs again. I don't see any connection, but has anyone else had a similar problem? I also checked the manuals, and see nothing that indicates I need to do anything special for z/VM. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
