We have a program called XPROC from Steve Bacher ... got it a long time
ago ... with the NNMVS program (an NNTP news reader for MVS) ... don't
have the source anymore (lost it).  But the program is still in our
link-list and still works ... does CLIST-like parsing for REXX programs ...
