pity -- giving up a beautiful solution. must be the $$cost$$ ... as your subject header states, use TMM - which i term as a "poor man's VSM".
there is a manual on Volume Mount Analyzer which will assist in identifying the potential candidates for TMM. HSM will perform the stacking for you. you'll need to reserve sufficient amount of disk space first. - ravi. Does anyone know if it is possible to create and manage virtual tape functions using the above without the VSM hardware? If so, can you provide me some references that would help in the implementation? > >Mike Myers >Pitt County Memorial Hospital ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@bama.ua.edu with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
