Something we do on a regular basis, is to move an entire application from lpar1 to lpar2. After shutting down the application, disconnect the catalog and alias from lpar1's master catalog, then vary all volumes offline to lpar1 and online to lpar2. Connect the catalog and alias to lpar2's master catalog and the job is done.
