I had a problem with LIBSRVE and opened a PMR with IBM. Here's some notes: "On the Administration page, put a check in the box labelled "Generate Diagnostic Output" and save the settings. Logging will now be to the "bookmgr.dbg" file. The log will be in the LOGDIR directory that is specified in the bookmgr.80 file."
