ERROR DESCRIPTION: When no specific LOGON attribute has been specified on the CONSOLE statement for a console, LOGON=OPTIONAL may appear in message CNZ4100I in response to a DISPLAY CONSOLES command regardless of the LOGON attribute specified for the DEFAULT statement in CONSOLXX. This problem occurs in shared mode for consoles active on systems running z/OS R10. If the R10 system where the consoles are active is not running in a sysplex, LOGON=OPTIONAL is always displayed for the active consoles. If the R10 system where the consoles are active is running in a sysplex and an APPLID is not specified on the INIT statement in CONSOLxx, LOGON=OPTIONAL is displayed for the active consoles from the time the system is IPL'd up until when the next system is IPL'd into the plex. LOCAL FIX: Define LOGON attribute for individual consoles.
