It think the problem is related to MIH (Missing Interrupt Handling), Try to increase the number to 30 minutes for 3490-c22 tape addresses.

It fails on any 3490E-C22. It works on 3590-H and 3592 (with other media of course). The 3490E drives can be used for read or write without problems. The problem occurs with EDGINERS only.
