"INPUT ON" on will let you see internal text and other "special" JES2 data
sets like JESJCLIN, sysin for jobs running or in the input queues and JES 
sets that go to a dummy class that haven't been purged.  

If the job is started under SUB=MSTR and has no JCT,  "input on" won't do
anything to help.
