They also wouldn't be able to allocate tapes for an IKJ* batch job (well, you _could_ call that TSO), nor for a UNIX (USS) session (which you can't call TSO).
Then granularity of MOUNT authority control is an inadequate design: o It fails to distinguish between a foreground TSO session and an IKJ* batch session. o It fails to distinguish between mounts to real tape drives and to virtual tape drives, the latter being a less constrained resource.
