**** Cross Posted to LPAR Pricing, IBM-Main, ISV Costs **** We currently have IBM Mainframe Hardware maintenance through a 3rd party and are considering options for how we do hardware maintenance of the next upgrade (z196 or z12 are most likely). So far have been unable to source hardware support for these from anyone other than IBM.
If anyone has 3rd party support of z196 (I doubt z12 support exists from other than IBM given its recent arrival) we would be keen to hear that it exists and if so any indication you can give of savings compared to IBM - this later point maybe commercially sensitive so if you'd prefer to contact offline please do.
