Hi, sorry to say it's still only mgmtclas and storclas that can be ams altered on a migrated dataset without forcing a recall. Hopefully you can recall them without filling up your sms pools! And because you have updated the catalog entry they will end up being physically migrated again even if you have the tapemigration(reconnect parm coded in your hsm system.
Of more interest is how you got here in the first place. Was someone doing dfdss restores without the tgtgds(active) parm? or iffy jcl? i seem to recall that disp of New,keep on a gdg made them deffered. What is your gds_reclaim entry set to in your igdsmsxx sys1.parmlib member? default is yes.
