My suggestion here is to raise a case/incident with IBM JES2. The fact that the message appears when the job ends, but is not viewable while active suggests that there might be a “JES-reason” why this is happening and their L2/3 may well know what that is. Failing there being an existing known issue, they will be able to diagnose further.

JES2 compresses/decompresses data written/read to/from each track group. It's completely optional. The zEDC Integrated Accelerator must be available on the system where JES2 is to perform SPOOL compression, and ADVANCED_FORMAT=YES needs to be specified in the SPOOLDEF configuration statement, or dynamically enabled.
