Makes sense to me. I use the same reasoning whenever I buy a new PC and shell out actual money for a copy of Office Pro. The lookalikes (my sister swears by Open Office, for example) may ~say~ they're fully compatible. But when I supply a solution to a client I'm unwilling to risk it; it's gotta be the real thing.
