IEASYMU2 requires updates access to FACILITY class entity IEASYMUP.symname.
You should not use IEASYMU2 unless this is a temporary update that you do not want to persist for the next IPL. I'd say that there is no such thing as "my system symbols". Anything beyond the system symbols provided by z/OS are the customer's system symbols.
