I've heard of people running a virtualized HMC. I see no reason why an SE couldn't be virtualized as long as it has the expected communications path to the CEC. Obviously it's a very unsupported configuration. The context I've heard it in is individuals that have purchased a retired CEC and need an HMC / SE for it. It works for them. -- Grant. . . . unix || die ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@listserv.ua.edu with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@listserv.ua.edu with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
