Thanks. I am REAL familiar with syslog (RFC 3164 syslog, not MVS SYSLOG). I don't *think* I want to go that route.

But I already have this set up on my z/OS work system, so it is NBD to me to add something to it. I did this mainly to track the z/OS FTP server, which logs to the UNIX syslog daemon.
