I have been chasing this around for over an hour, looking at
different manuals...
For some reason I can't do an ftp get command that will work to
go to (example only):
/u/abc/some.java.file.jar
and then copy that to my windows laptop.
I get various messages about using a fully qualified name (DSN
thing).
So this is what I want to do:
[already set to the correct location in windows]
get '/u/abc/some.java.file.jar' some.java.file.jar
There was some cnftp (?) command at z/OS 2.1, that now is not
available (spent time chasing that too).
Besides not retiring, what am I doing wrong? This works for MVS
data sets, just can't get it to touch the USS (yeah, shoot me
because I used to complain about this being a component of VTAM)
file system area.
