If I, like you, were starting from scratch, I would likely turn the option on. 
In our specific case, I am unlikely to change to allow duplicate jobnames to 
run because:
1. We have no demand for it.
2. It would need to be tested and announced.
3. There may be something (or several things) implicitly or explicitly 
dependent on the old behavior that I am unaware of or have forgotten.
