Key 9 is used for CICS user modules to keep them from fatally damaging CICS which runs key 8. SZERO=NO protects SP0 from being damaged by other TCB's (most notably programs that violate CICS unenforced restrictions such as STORAGE OBTAIN). If you want to live within key 9 restrictions, then it's OK. Out of curiosity, do you plan on using key 9 for something other than a multi-user address space? If so, what do you see as it's benefit?
