Derek, In my last assignment we had ZOS Tectia product - hopefully you have access to the Tectia docs? Tectia support is pretty good about "how to" questions if you are specific in what you are trying to accomplish, but sounds like you have some code page translation issues - you probably are going to have to try different options, but source / dest code pages can be specified within the Tectia subcommand streams. I know lot of trial and error but at least you only have to change with the SFTP subcommand streams.
