I've noticed that no matter what I say, new[1] ISPF users...

- Use START to open so many sessions I don't know how they can keep track. And
no, they never change the session name.
- Use ISPF 3.4 for EVERYTHING. It is like they don't know that any other option
exists. [2]
- Never use the tab, shift-tab, or New Line keys

My question relates to the last one.

The problem with never using the tab or New Line keys is that you can't jump to
entry fields. Instead, they use the arrow keys to move the cursor to fields.

But where's the field? If the panel is following CUA, then that's not a
problem, because the default CUA attribute is to underline entry fields.

Unfortunately there are a lot of ISPF panels that are not CUA. I know that no
panel I maintain is. I'm old school, none of this new-fangled Dialog Tag
Language.

So my question is: Is there a way to tell ISPF to underline fields on panels
that are not using CUA attributes. For example, fields defined as type(input).

Here I mean using ISPF settings, not by changing the panel definition.

You wouldn't want it to /pad/ with underscore. This would be to apply the uline
attribute.

[1] new means "started in the last 10 years"
[2] I'd give them points if they could figure out how to use the ISPF
Object/Action workplace for everything
