Hi, We upgraded our mainframe environments to zOSV3R1 and the necessary tasks to Semeru 17 (didn't bother with 11).
Now we're ready to put on our RSU (up through RSU2409) and had a PTF & friends that wants to change our java USS symbolic link of /current_64 to Semeru 17 (PTFs UI97336 UI98474 UI98475). We are still heavily using JAVA8 and really shocked that this PTF was forcing us to change the default. Am I just out of touch here? I'd like some input please on how other companies are handling the JAVA8 to Semeru migration. Is their any statement of direction from IBM or deadlines from migrating everything off the JAVA8 & below to Semeru?
