Still, REXX is the primary scripting language for z/OS and z/VM; they should be listed as options. It' unfortunate that IBM hasn't chosen to replace them with ooRexx.

Which is not bad at all - both in private and professional life I combine HLASM development with various other languages, depending on the task at hand. I find Rexx a very useful and flexible tool - more so since there are options to port between environments. Point in case, I am currently looking at porting large Rexx program from z/OS to our distributed environment...
