You can't always tell if reassembly is necessary, but installing the exit
source as a USERMOD and letting SMP do its thing is generally sound practice.
It's too easy to shoot yourself in the foot copying the object code.

Subject: Exits reassembly

External Message: Use Caution

Hello

Apology for the dummy question

How do we know if a particular exit needs a reassembly before migrating to
a newer zos version?

I have seen some exits work by just copying over without reassembly.

Any thoughts or advise based on your experience

Peter
