I know what you said, and it was BS. JES doesn't alter the DSN on OPEN and 
CLOSE, only on spin.

Again, with your non-sense. I said "JES may process".  I never claimed it will 
always change. It was important that the OP understands the possibility exists 
and the DSN is only guaranteed while the dataset is open.
