Good morning
According to this source it came from a German university:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christmas_Tree_EXEC

reading the code the variables are in GERMAN.
e.g. WER = who
or a modification of german words (e.g. for year, month, day).

So a german origin is highy probable.

Best regards
Mike

Betreff: Looking for CHRISTMA EXEC

All,

I am looking for anyone from 1987 that may have had information regarding the
CHRISTMA EXEC virus. In particular I am looking for anyone who knows/knew Jerry
Hoekstra, at that time I believe he was with Calvin University.

Thanks
Bill
