I've never seen that particular message, but I'm sure what they're doing is just SETMSG MSG(ISPLO99), perhaps with a MSGLOC().
File Manager does something similar with message FMNIA003. It appears in a box because the message is multi-line. -----Original Message----- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Charles Mills Sent: Friday, October 10, 2025 12:43 PM To: [email protected] Subject: How do a "transitory" ISPF message such as for Copyright? I am sure everyone is familiar with the white message box that ISPF displays on startup: +----------------------------------------------+ | Licensed Materials - Property of IBM | | 5655-ZOS Copyright IBM Corp. 1980, 2023. | | US Government Users Restricted Rights - | | Use, duplication or disclosure restricted | | by GSA ADP Schedule Contract with IBM Corp. | +----------------------------------------------+ The first time you hit Enter the message box goes away. Does anyone have an pointer to example code for how you would do something like this in ISPF? Put up an "overlaying" message box and then make it disappear?
