I admit to doing more to help people when they have already done their homework. But sometimes the relevant information isn't in the obvious places.
Politics? Doesn't belong here, and it's easy to get sucked in, so don't even start raising issues about parties and politician. -- Shmuel (Seymour J.) In some cases I have to wonder if helping them is actually helping or maybe just keeping someone from getting a job that can do that work. I believe that we need to help people to learn, and I try to do that when possible, but I have to wonder about the expertise level that we are dealing with sometimes. Just my feeling, but maybe there needs to be some limits on asking questions that can be easily answered by looking in the manual. Plus the semi-constant political stuff really does suck eggs. For some reason it tends to bring out the grumpiness in a lot of people.
