That sounds like everyone is a clown show then.

But at least for the "short" term, IBM provides the platform where
every problem is investigated and fixed.

And the goal from a non-IBM perspective is not for IBM to have
long term profit anyway.

It's just to make sure the professional platform remains. And so
long as they can continue to charge whatever is required to cover
their costs - and everyone has no real choice but to suck it up -
it may all work out. For the forseeable future.
