Hello list,

Hopefully a quick question. Is it safe to use the zfsadm shrink command to
release space in the root filesystem? z/OS 3.1 environment and a coworker
forgot to mount a filesystem to hold the SMPNTS for retrieving a package and
expanded my root filesystem to about twice the size it should be before the job
blew up on her due to running out of space. Can I safely use the shrink to
reclaim that space? Yes, making the root filesystem read-only just moved up on
my priority list.

Thanks,

Rex
