IBM Redbooks | Faster DB2 Performance with IBM FlashSystem

This is a pretty good overview(and fairly recent). The trick is what Ray Wicks
used to call the 'Big Pitcher';i.e. storage, CPU, DASD, paging subsystem. I
googled a little while but didn't find a current reference to sizing processor,
SSD, Ziips and workload. FWIW DR sight need to be similarly configured.

Craig Mullin's books on DB2 are classics but don't know if they've been update
to v10
