IBM Redbooks | Faster DB2 Performance with IBM FlashSystem This is a pretty good overview(and fairly recent). The trick is what Ray Wicks used to call the 'Big Pitcher';i.e. storage, CPU, DASD, paging subsystem. I googled a little while but didn't find a current reference to sizing processor, SSD, Ziips and workload. FWIW DR sight need to be similarly configured.
