It's definitely possible to imbed them into almost anything because they are so 
small. You would still need an Email server or hack into someones Email 
account. It also seems too expensive when you consider that you can easily get 
access through a coffee shop.

If this is true, then just stop ironing your clothes to avoid the risk. ;) I 
couldn't resist.
