When I last looked at IEBCOMPR in the utilities manual, I notice the very first paragraph is "Recommendation: Use the SuperC utility instead of IEBCOMPR. SuperC is part of ISPF/PDF and the High Level Assembler Toolkit Feature. SuperC can be processed in the foreground as well as in batch and its report is more useful." IEBCOMPR was never brilliant as it would stop after 10 consecutive errors, which is easily induced if a record is deleted from a file.
