We had a request for this years ago on our SyzSPOOL/z product (JES2 spool management/viewer), and we designed it into the product, then it was determined that the site "really" wanted the ability to decide where to send it "on the fly" instead of automatically, so we added the ability to email any output (in almost any format) to anywhere they wanted. The FTP part rarely gets used by anyone because our customers have found that z/OS make just as good a repository as any other server.
I guess what I'm asking is that you first put some thought into what you are trying to accomplish by FTP'ing the output to that other server. Do you really want a flat file or would you rather it be in PDF format or zip format. It will depend on who is going to look at it later, if it's never going to be looked at, then why bother to FTP it in the first place? If it's going to be used for some other purpose, then you will need to make sure it's in the best format for them to use.
