When HOLDDATA are issued, such as:

   ++ HOLD( pepatch ) ERROR REASON( resolve ) ...

and the hold is first resolved by an APAR fix, does the
SYSMOD ID of the APAR match the REASON ID:

   ++ APAR( resolve ) ...

or SUPersede it:

   ++ APAR( interim) SUP( resolve ) ...

Either is syntactically acceptable to SMP/E, but which is IBM's
convention? Of course, the final PTF will be one of:

    ++ PTF( stable ) SUP( resolve ) ...
    ++ PTF( stable ) SUP( interim, resolve ) ...

And if a PE affects multiple releases of a product, will a single
REASON ID be used for all releases, or will REASON be peculiar
to each release?

Thanks,
gil
