There are also interval accounting which can do that.

​True. SMF type 30, subtype 5 will give both the start and end time of each
job (after the job ends, of course, which means doesn't work well for
everything - example TCPIP). In the SYSLOG, I look for the IEF403I and
IEF404I messages.​
