I can't find/didn't track it, but Internet chatter suggests I was talking about it circa Spring, 2007. IIRC, IBM declined to fix the underlying tcsetattr() where I believe the problem lies; rather they patched stty(1) that I had used to demonstrate the problem. Shame on them!
