Not as I read it:

SMP/E for z/OS Commands
SA23-2275-01

                                               .-HOLDDATA-.
>--+----------------------------------------+--+----------+----->
   +-FROMNETWORK(-| FROMNETWORK Options |-)-+
   +-FROMNTS(-+-package id-------+-)--------+
   |          '-ORDER(ordername)-'          |
   '-ORDER(-| ORDER Options |-)-------------'

And, in fact;

PAGE 0001 - NOW SET TO GLOBAL ZONE DATE 04/25/15 TIME 16:34:22
SMP/E 36.66   SMPOUT
  OUTPUT

   RECEIVE LIST
           SELECT( ...
             )               /* (End of Selection List.)          */
           FROMNTS( 'ELS73.gimzip'
                    CLIENT( SMPCLNT )    /* */
GIM20301S ** THERE IS A SYNTAX ERROR IN THE COMMAND AT COLUMN 21.
                  )

Wish it were otherwise.

Does the same apply to GIMZIP/GIMUNZIP.

And REGION=250M fixes my my Java problem. I'd still prefer a nonzero
return code when that happens. It was actually broken by APAR several
years ago.

Thanks,
gil
