A few years ago, I heard of a Java implementation, UnXMIT, IIRC. I tried it and failed. It had entanglements with such as Eclipse. Not quite "Write once; run anywhere." Many users wish for easier search of CBTTAPE doc. I wonder whether breaking out File 1 into individual pages (File 6 does this), placing them on the server, and letting Google index them would help. I also wonder whether virtual hosts would help to target searches better (e.g. search for "PDS86 site:docs.cbttape.org"). Heck; if that works, it could well be applied to IBM Knowledge Center.
