tied up?" Are we trying to capture dumps into an already overly-full 
memory
/ SCM situation?

This thread (and a SEPARATE customer situation) prompted a discussion 
today
in my team about doing more with the SMF 75 (and 71) data now that SCM is
quite commonplace.

3.45G (used local) + 120G (used SCM) = 123.45G (used Aux)
61.9G (size local) + 128G (size SCM) = 189.9   (size Aux)

(123.45 * 100) / 189.9 = 65% 

 That is over the %(aux used) threshold for allowing a dump to start.
MAXSPACE has nothing to do with it.  You would get a different reason code
for MAXSPACE.
