Most if not all the people work from home for BMC.  Even the Central IT
folks work from home mostly

Based on what I've been seeing lately, you may wind up having to move.  If
you do, however, I've seen a number of jobs that require mainframe skills,
as well as Linux, and even z/VM.  Since that seems to fall into your areas
of interest, you might want to consider it.
