Well, it is single CEC, so you don't have spare STP servers. Actually you don't need them, since STP failure in single CEC scenario means this CEC failure. BTW: the (not so) obvious advantage of STP on single CEC is ability to use time signal from NTP. You cannot connect z/OS as ntp client, but the CEC with STP can be ntp client.
