Such a registry shouldn't be the province of any single supplier; it should be
global.  The prefix an ISV uses for z/OS should likewise apply to Linux,
OS X, Windows, ...  There's a nascent convention of using a registered domain
name, wrtten big-endian, as a qualifier, such as com.gm or edu.ua.listserv.
That convention should be embraced more widely.
